1. Who we are

SavingsAbroad.com is operated by Savings Abroad Limited, a company registered in Ireland with its registered office at 77 Camden Street Lower, Saint Kevin's, Dublin, D02 XE80, Ireland ("we", "us", "our"). We act as the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

2. Information we collect

When you complete our eligibility form we collect: first name, email, mobile phone number, country of residence, nationality, whether you are currently living abroad, amount considered, preferred term, timing for placing funds, whether you would like to speak with a specialist, and product interest (savings, deposit, or investment). We also automatically collect technical information such as your IP address (used to default your country dial code), device and browser information, referring URL, and UTM marketing parameters.

3. How we use your information

To verify your phone number by sending a one-time passcode via SMS or voice call; to review whether relevant savings, deposit, or investment options may be available; to contact you about your inquiry; to introduce you — with your consent — to appropriately vetted third-party providers or specialists; to measure the performance of our marketing; and to comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) to contact you and share your details with third-party providers; on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to operate, secure, and improve the website and to prevent fraud; and on compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) where applicable.

5. Sharing your information

We use trusted service providers to operate the website, including Twilio (phone verification) and our hosting and database providers. Where relevant options may be available we may — with your consent — share limited information with appropriately vetted third-party providers or specialists. We do not sell your personal information.

6. International transfers

Some service providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

We retain inquiry data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above and to comply with our legal obligations, typically up to 24 months from your last interaction, after which the data is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@savingsabroad.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
